Labels
How many things can one person put labels on? A month before school is set to start, I have labels prepared for popsicle sticks, clothespins, cubbies, homework folders, binders, and pencils. Still left to label are "library" cards for checking books out of the classroom, divider labels for my student information binder, nametags for the desks, erasers, and the multitude of workbooks that are waiting at school. This is the easy stuff.

They say that it takes 10,000 hours to master a skill. By conservative estimates, I have completed close to 3,500 hours of teaching while more liberal estimates place me closer to 5,500. This year, I will have close to 1,200 hours with my students and this blog will serve to document our adventures together.
